Edward “Eddie” Lee Lewis Jr. was born in Hobbs, New Mexico on September 25, 1953 to Edward Lee and Gladys (Dickey) Lewis. He went to be with his Lord on January 6, 2022.
Eddie grew up in Odessa, Texas and graduated from Odessa High School in 1972. During this time, he was active in Boy Scouts and earned the Order of the Arrow, God and Country, and his Eagle Scout and took great pride in these accomplishments. After high school graduation, Eddie continued to follow his desire to serve others with an eight-year career in law enforcement with the Odessa Police Department. Eddie then changed career paths and moved into the oil field business, first as a mudlogger, then in domestic sales, and finally retiring in international sales after 35 years.
Eddie met the absolute love of his life, Clara Julie Lewis, in 1997 and married in December of the same year. Their life together was filled with a deep love for each other and many happy memories of hunting, fishing, barbequing, antique shopping, and many vacations in various places, including RV’ing and spending multiple summers in Cloudcroft. Lewis died on November 30, 2006, from complications related to lung cancer. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 13th 2023 from 1:00 PM to 8 .
