Millions of years of evolution, um, are behind that system to get us to come together and live in communities, to find mates, to propagate our species. Nobody knows anybody whos sick. The model, once you have it, you can predict the kinds of things that person does. Otherwise, we arent a country. [CNN] What does it look like to be a country thats entire diet is Facebook and social media? [knocks lightly on door] Ben. [Jaron] If we go down the current status quo for, lets say, another 20 years we probably destroy our civilization through willful ignorance. [Shoshana] This is a new kind of marketplace now. Nice, simple business. And if you talk with them and say, Well, how many hours a day do you wanna spend on your device? [reporter 1] Were seeing violent images. [Tristan] We can demand that these products be designed humanely. All right? [Cass] Wouldnt exactly call the stuff that youre watching news.
